I got this book because my kids were sick of yogurts in their lunches. ("Mom, where's my main course?") This book is a terrific resource for busy parents who want to give their kids healthy yet tasty lunches -- on the double. I've made several of the recipes so far and it's even inspired me to create some of my own. (Today, my kids got a whole wheat lavash-pear-spinach-cream cheese roll up, in the spirit of this book.) I've used several of the recipes for dinners too. Highly recommend!

I've struggled for years with how to provide variety in my kids' lunches, have them include the nutrition they need, AND have them be something my kids will actually enjoy eating. With the help of Katie Morford's new book, we've hit the jackpot! My 6th and 7th graders are making their own lunches now and it's my job to provide the ingredients and the inspiration. Right away, there is new excitement around lunch making and I see the boxes coming home empty for the first time in a long while. The thing I especially appreciate about Katie's book is that it's realistic. With just a few creative tweaks to the lunch, it becomes healthier and more delicious. I also really like the design of the book - colorful, easy to navigate, and eye catching to my young lunch makers!
