I absolutely LOVE this book! It is the first slow cooker recipe book, and I got lots, that actually has recipes that are not only appealing to look at, are simple to prep, AND something for everybody!! The slow cooker books I have, have not seen the light of day because the recipes were nasty looking, took too many ingredients that I sometimes had to go buy instead of looking in my cupboard or freezer, and they weren't something that I would eat regularly (for example, who eats lobster bisque on a weekly basis?) and some were just plain nasty. Crock-pot itself is guilty of this type of recipe book but the last two have been hits! I am so glad they made the recipes more rounded, there are even recipes your kids will like! Plus, good desserts! I never thought of making a cake in my Crock-Pot! Well, I've heard of cobblers and dumps but not cakes!
Some people were griping about why they were in different categories and all that. Ummm...TITLE? That is the theme of the book. Or that the recipes were not easy to find. Really? You never heard of an index before? Turn the book over, skim the back. Done. The best one: some of the recipes were in the wrong season. Oh for the love of.....you guys, its a cookbook. This is not critique of War and Peace; if you don't want to make that recipe because its something you eat in the winter instead of spring.....have at it! Eat it in the winter! That is such a silly thing to post about!
Anyways....the recipes are good, the pics are beautiful and I love this feature the best: Spiral bound!!
