That's How I Roll Description
Get Your Potty Training On!
If you were hoping to read a fancy book written by Dr. So and So with a lot of big words and no pictures, then this isn’t the read for you. But, if you want to hear from a real Mom, deep in the trailer parks of Oklahoma, who has been down in the trenches of motherhood, then you’ll love this. After potty training two boys and a girl of my own while working and going to school, I developed a 3-5 day cheap and easy system to get your child fully potty trained. This book is full of secret tips and tells you step by step what to do. It even tells you what to buy and what not to buy. You also get to hear some of the funny stories and pictures it took to turn my kids into the “potty training champs” they are today!

My 2 1/2 year old son had already begin going to the potty on his own sporadically. He liked doing it because it was "fun" but because he was still in diapers, he was only using the potty when he felt like it, and going in his diapers most of the time. My original plan was to just let him decide to go on the potty when he wanted to, and I figured eventually, he would just start using the potty every time he needed to pee - but after a month of only peeing in the potty once or twice a day (and NEVER pooping in it) and using his diaper the rest of the time, I decided it was time for a new course of action.
If you follow this book to the letter, it WILL work for you. My son was potty trained completely in 5 days. He has not had an accident in almost a month at the time of this review. I will say that he did have one inexplicable "relapse" day a week after that 5th day when he went to his grandma's and somehow, for some reason, peed in his pants upwards of 4 times. Maybe it was the different environment, maybe he was having too much fun with Pop-Pop, who knows - all I know is, after that one relapse day we had no more accidents. I love this method because 1) it took just 5 days; 2) I stopped buying diapers; 3) I did it without Pull-Ups; 4) he loves going potty.
I've heard a few objections from other moms (not just other reviewers) about rewarding your child with candy for using the potty. I have to say out of all the things to get on your soapbox about, ONE M&M probably isn't tizzy-worthy. Could you potty train without the candy? Sure. Is it easier to just let your kid have a few bits of chocolate every day for a few months? Probably.
