VERY similar to Haynes manuals which have been helpful in getting started on other repairs. However, both manuals have absolutely NO information AT ALL regarding repairing or replacing heating and air conditioning doors or actuators, fresh air intake door, doors that direct air to defrost/floor/vents, etc. The book literally says; "Temp is controlled by mixing heated air with fresh air, using a system of doors in the ducts, and a blower motor." No info describing this "system of doors", how to access, replace, or troubleshoot. Does cover replacing the blower motor and heater core though. No help to me in this case.

Chevrolet made a model change to the Silverado pickup in 2007 but they also sold the old style Silverado in 2007 as the "Silverado Classic" which is covered by this manual. When it says "2006", read "2007 Classic"
This book starts where the owners manual stops. For the average pick-up owner, it will help you do mid-level repairs and keep your vehicle running for years longer. This manual will guide you through repair procedures step by step. By reading what is involved in a repair, you can make an informed decision about your ability to accomplish the maintenance task yourself or take your vehicle to a licensed mechanic. Either way you should save money with this book. When you know what is involved in a repair, it is harder for someone to pad your bill.
