Take a hammer to the piggy bank or "borrow" from the rent money --- Do whatever you need to do, but TREAT yourself to this wonderful book. Let's start with the optics, OK? It is a gorgeous volume, tucked securely inside a handsome slip cover.....Paper quality and color separations are sublime. For everyone who absolutely loved Linda Fargo's earlier book, "Dreams Through the Glass" (my copy is lovingly dog-eared and full of post-it notes) THIS is the ultimate
follow-up book. Plus, in terms of content, it trumps her earlier book by giving us more, more, more, and even more. This lavish book attempts to document the beyond-maximal display windows that Bergdorf-Goodman has become known for --- and succeeds! Thanks to exquisite photography (and baronial page size), we are able to examine each detail, appreciate every nuance, and smile with delight at the often-sly touches designed by Ms. Fargo and David Hoey. I predict an up-tick in Tourism in Manhattan this holiday season....because everyone will want to come to NYC to see the BG Windows. In the meantime, give yourself a special holiday gift, and savor this amazing volume. I gave it five stars......but really it is a TEN. Those BG geniuses have done it -- again!
