Wargasm Description
Warriors drift like lost souls on the ocean of peace.
You will never forget her. Death, I mean. Her moans, the horrible cracks and whizzes from incoming bullets, will eternally make your ears ring long after you depart the battlefield. She is the sexiest woman you will ever have. We who are warriors rarely admit this to others. Instead, we hide our sick fantasy from our loved ones and civilian friends. I am different. I know I am forsaken.
This is the story of a man haunted by the shadows of war. He sought to numb his pain with a new even more addicting drug: lust.

This book was recommended to me by a fellow warfighter; I really wanted to like this book, but I just couldn't. This book is in some serious need of editing, many small, but important, words are missing, and could be corrected with a good once-over. Didn't care for the combat flashbacks all in italics. Many things in this book are repetitive and distracting, though Mr. Galea's ability to use metaphor and colloquialism is top notch- and is beautifully done. I wish there was more diversity in the content, as a fellow combat infantryman, the parts when he discusses his wife cheating on him and the feelings accompanied with it really spoke to me, as I'd felt the same things (such as wanting to go on extra patrols afterwards). But I soon got bored with it mostly being about his sexual conquests. I feel like Mr. Galea has much more insightful things to say than just talking about sex, and I wish he would have embodied that more in the clear potential for writing that he has. Good once over in editing, clarification for certain military themes that would alienate non-military savvy people (i.e- use "first sergeant" instead of 1SG), and a more diverse storyline is all this book needs.
