Prodigal Son Description
THE CEO'S REDEMPTION
Jack Hanson knew what he wanted, and it wasn't a media empire. After his father died suddenly, Jack was forced to leave his law practice and take over his father's company. And, oh, yeah, pull it back from the brink of catastrophe. The one bright spot in the whole mess was his new hirean old business-school friend, Samantha Edwards. Samantha was just as smart, fun and vibrant as she'd been in school, but now
she was a hell of a lot sexier.
Samantha Edwards knew what she wanted, and it wasn't love. She'd already made a mess out of her life once. She wasn't about to jeopardize the best job she'd ever had by breaking the cardinal rule of businessfalling for the boss. And yet, Jack needed her. And she needed him
because if he could put the company back together, perhaps he could heal her, too.

I enjoyed this book until in abruptly ended. This book wasn't finished.
****************SPOILER ALERT*******************
Are the brothers returning home?
What was in the will?
Did the company get turned around?
Did he stay or leave to pursue his dream job?
What became of the board?
What became of the lawsuits?
This book just stopped.
In the last 2 pages an ending is crammed in but things are left undone.
If this is a stand alone book I would not recommend reading it. If 2 more books are to follow then go ahead and read it but pray that the 2nd book ties up all the missing pieces. I normally enjoy Susan Mallery but this book just left me annoyed.

Disappointing in that so many ends were left untied. What about the double set if accounting books--was that a crime of the father. What about the brothers, was there ever a reunion. What about the stepmother, did they ever start a relationship? If there is to be a sequel that answers all these questionable, it wasn't evident.
