To give the author some credit he did the best he could to cram so much history into so few pages. If anybody actually wants to learn some history and this is your classes assigned book then I suggest you find a different class. If you just want a list of names, dates, and events then this is the book for you.

this book is pretty much just an outline. the author crammed every detail on the time line in one book so every other sentence is a different topic, just trying to rush through everything. everything is not in chronological order and jumps around making it very difficult to remember dates. out of all my history classes, this was the hardest book to learn off of. if you're going to read this book in your class, i strongly urge you to take notes while going through chapters.
