My children ages 6, 7 and 9 have been seriously entertained by this book. It has been in our house for a little under a week and all three of my children have read, experimented, and thoroughly enjoyed it! These are the things theyfve done so far:
¡My 7-year-old read the and created his own Rainforest (pg.94), which was an excellent science experiement teaching concepts of water vapor, the water cycle, and plant life in the rain forest.
¡My 9-year-old read gHow is Ice Cream Made?h (pg 134) then involved both of her brothers in gHow to Make Ice Creamh (pg 138). Without any help, all three kids made and ate Vanilla Ice Cream with a few ingredients in a Ziplock Bag!
¡How to Make Blubber (pg 24) was an immediate interest of my 7-year-old and is younger brother. This was a messy but interesting experiment that neither of them needed any help putting together.
¡How to make a Baking Soda Boat (pg 104) was the experiment that occurred in our kitchen sink one morning. Whether they know it or not (they know!) this is Sir Issac Newtonfs Third Law of Motion!
