I bought this book so I could homeschool myself in algebra, so I could score better on the entrant test.

I suggest buying the Algebra 1 for Dummies at the same time, have shown it to the math instructor, and he even commented it is a good book to learn from.

The information is "dumbed down" for those of us who haven't had Algebra in a long time. I use it in conjunction with my school textbook. It explains things that my textbook doesn't always address.
